HC Deb 29 November 1993 vol 233 c312W
Mr. David Atkinson

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what information he has as to the per capita income of Greek Cypriots living in southern Cyprus; and what considerations underlie the giving of United Kingdom aid to Cyprus.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

Information on the per capita income of the two communities in Cyprus is not available. The figure for Cyprus as a whole was $8,640 in 1991. The considerations underlying our small aid programme to Cyprus are our historical relationship and an even-handed approach towards both communities.
