§ Mr. RedwoodThe departmental register of candidates for public appointment is a running list to which names are frequently added. Information is not available on a calendar year basis, nor is information on the age of candidates recorded centrally. Currently there are 4,096 names on the register, of which 1,135, 27.7 per cent., are women.
