§ Baroness TrumpingtonThe Government's commitment to the arts is demonstrated by the increase of over 18 per cent. in real terms in the Arts Council's grant-in-aid over the last four years. Since this Government took office in 1979 the Arts Council's grant has increased by 45 per cent. in real terms.
