§ Mr. David AtkinsonTo ask the Secretary of State for Health what support is being given to voluntary organisations to meet the target set in the "Health of the Nation" regarding the rate of suicide.
§ Mr. BowisIn the mental illness field, more than 40 grants are being made to some 28 voluntary bodies at a total cost of £2 million in 1992–93. Most of these organisations provide help and support for mentally ill people in the community and make a contribution towards meeting our "Health of the Nation" target to reduce the rate of suicide.
