To ask the President of the Board of Trade when he expects to be able to announce a decision on the proposal for a refuse-to-energy plant in Belvedere.

The timing of his report is a matter for the inquiry inspector. When my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade receives the report he will give timely but careful consideration to it.

My right hon. Friend will announce his decision on the application at the earliest possible opportunity after receiving the report.
