To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what concessions farmers will receive if they fail to receive their cattle identification documents within the correct time; and if he will make a statement.

Producers who submit claims for premium (on forms BEEF 5 or 5A) and who have not received the appropriate CIDs by the end of the rei.ention period should contact their divisional office immediately. Producers who have submitted applications for CIDs (on form BEEF 2) who have not received their documents within 21 days of submitting an application should follow the advice on the application form and contact their divisional office to explain their position. In both instances, divisional offices will seek to release the documents in time for marketing to proceed or premium to be claimed as appropriate.
