To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security how many(a) men and (b) women (i) under and (ii) over pensionable age are dependent on income support in Wales.

3. For the purposes of this reply the term "pensionable age" has been defined as 60 years old, this is consistent with the age at which Pensioner Premiums become payable with Income Support.
