§ Mr. NelsonThe Bank of England has sole responsibility for authorisation under the Banking Act 1987, and it is for the Bank to determine what information relating to possible applications for authorisation may be disclosed. Its ability to disclose any such information is constrained by the confidentiality provisions of the Act.
