§ Mrs. FyfeTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland, pursuant to his answer of 11 May,Official Report, column 408, how much of the total savings of £150,000 was retained by each fund holding practice; and on what these sums were spent.
§ Mr. StewartI have written to the hon. Lady to correct an error in my original answer of 11 May where the figure for the total savings of GP fund holder practices should have read "£190,000" rather than "£150,000".
The savings of individual GP fund-holding practices for 1991–92 are shown in the audited annual accounts of the individual GP fund-holders, which are public documents.
These savings, which are administered by the health board may only be applied in accordance with regulations, and with board agreement for the benefit of the fundholders patients. The specific details of the individual practice expenditure involved is a matter for the relevant health board.
