§ Mr. Archie HamiltonRAF Hercules C-130 aircraft and Ilyushin 8, Boeing 737 and Airbus 320 aircraft belonging to Saarland and Berlin Air and contracted by the German Government were used to effect the changeover of our battalion group in Bosnia. No German military aircrew were involved. The German Government last year offered UNPROFOR troop contributors, on a bilateral basis, practical assistance in supporting their contingents in Bosnia. The German offer took the form of services they could provide, rather than direct financial assistance. The savings made from taking up the German Government's offer of assistance is estimated at £179,000.
