HC Deb 20 May 1993 vol 225 c291W
21. Mr. Matthew Banks

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what progress is being made on joint co-operation with the Republic of Ireland regarding tourism.

Mr. Atkins

The Northern Ireland Tourist Board and its counterpart in the Republic of Ireland co-operate closely in areas of mutual benefit to tourism on the island of Ireland. Good progress continues on initiatives such as the international reservation systems covering all of Ireland, known as Gulliver, and with joint marketing activities. I have met my counterpart in the South twice since their general election and we are keen to find new areas for potential co-operation.
