§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Cumberlege)This information is not held centrally, but the increased involvement of general practitioners in pre-school surveillance—for which more than 75 per cent. of GPs are now registered—has created a foundation for their increased involvement in school age surveillance. Additionally, those health authorities which have achieved the highest immunization targets in the country have involved general practitioners in the process.
