Whether they will allocate a separate sum of money to the British Council for Eritrea, on the occasion of the declaration of independence on 24th May.
§ Baroness Chalker of WallaseyThe Government provide the British Council with an annual grant-in-aid from which it allocates funds to maintain its programme of activities through its network of overseas offices. The British Council already has a presence in Eritrea and it hopes that its operations will shortly be modestly enhanced.
