§ Mr. YeoThe Department of Health is not currently undertaking research into the cause of, and cures for, manic depression.
The main agency through which the Government support research is the Medical Research Council, which receives its grant-in-aid from the office of my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. I understand that it is currently funding several projects looking at manic depression.
