§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Baroness Cumberlege)A number of representations have been received and, where appropriate, have been passed on to North East Thames Regional Health Authority, which has responsibility for consultation on the future of St. Batholomew's accident and emergency department. As part of its considerations, the region will take into account what services are required to respond to major incidents.
