To ask the Secretary of State for Wales by what date he expects all nursing clinical grading appeals to have been decided.

I expect appeals at the local level to be completed soon. As more appeals continue to come through to the Welsh and national—negotiating council —levels, I cannot forecast when all such appeals will be completed. A number of procedural changes aimed at significantly speeding up the appeals process are being discussed within the Nursing and Midwifery Staffs Negotiating Council.
