§ Mr. GummerI have concluded that it would be right for the food science laboratory, Norwich and the Torry research station, Aberdeen to achieve agency status. The best and most efficient mechanism is to merge both laboratories with the existing central science laboratory agency with effect from 1 April 1994. I intend to proceed accordingly. There are no plans to move the laboratories at Norwich and Aberdeen from their present locations. Both will continue to support the food safety work of the Department.
