§ Dr. David ClarkTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his answers of 26 February,Official Report, column 739, what are the reasons for the reduction in the number of British service personnel deployed with UNPROFOR Bosnia-Herzegovina command after the current units are replaced; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Archie HamiltonThe reduction in numbers between the strength currently deployed and the planned strength after roulement is due mainly to the withdrawal of the Royal Engineer surge capability required to establish the United Kingdom forces in the region. That task will have been compelted by the time of the roulement.
