§ Mr. Haselhurst
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he intends to implement article 27 of the Council directive 92/50/EEC.

§ Mr. Portillo
The Government intend to implement Council directive 92/50/EEC as a whole by 1 July 1993, together with Council directive 89/665/EEC insofar as it is relevant, by means of legislation under section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.
