To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what progress is being made with the know-how fund for central and eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union; and if he will give details of specific projects so far approved this year for each eligible country.

Since my last answer of 27 October 1992, at column552, the know-how fund has continued to do extremely well. The amount spent or committed is now at over £100 million for more than 700 projects. An updated list of activities has been placed in the Libraries of both Houses.
