§ Mr. WilsonTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport by what criteria railway investment projects are considered for eligibility for grant aid from the European regional development fund.
§ Mr. FreemanThe eligibility of programmes for grant aid from the European regional development fund is determined by regulation 4254/88—EC Official Journal 374/1988. Individual investment programmes are considered against these criteria by the relevant programme committees for the areas concerned.
§ Mr. WilsonTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list all the current and pending railway investment projects for which applications for grant aid from the European regional development fund have been made; and the amount of grant aid being sought in each case.
