HC Deb 16 March 1993 vol 221 cc126-7W
Mr. Burden

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list the approaches which have been made by his Department to the Thai authorities in the last three months regarding the application of Patricia Cahill for a royal pardon from the King of Thailand.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

Our embassy in Bangkok has been in regular touch with the Thai authorities about this case, most recently on 24 February. The Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, my right hon. Friend the Member for Eddisbury (Mr. Goodlad), also raised it when he visited Bangkok last October.
