To ask the President of the Board of Trade (1) what assessment has been made by Her Majesty's Government of the benefits to the United Kingdom of the European Commission's KONVER programme;

(2) if he will make a statement on Her Majesty's Government's policy towards the KONVER initiative proposed by the European Commission.

The Government are awaiting the European Commission's proposal for implementing the KONVER Community initiative.
