§ Sir Wyn RobertsInformation on the number of places purchased for children with special educational needs in non-maintained and independent special schools is not available centrally. Information relating to the number of pupils with statements of special educational needs, by local education authority and place of education, is given in table 12.01 of "Statistics of Education and Training in Wales: Schools No. 1 1993".
