§ Mr. Kenneth Carlisle[holding answer 8 March 1993]: As part of implementating the citizens charter, my Department has already undertaken a number of surveys of customers' attitudes and needs. Among other things, they have enabled the Department to adjust office "opening hours" more closely to what the public want. We do not apply a uniform rule, but we have a number of changes to provide a better service; for example the Driving Standards Agency now offers driving tests on Saturdays and summer evenings. We will continue to keep the position under review.
