§ Mr. CorbynTo ask the Secretary of State for Health how many complaints she has received about children in care in England in the past year; and on how many occasions she has ordered a social services inspectorate inquiry.
§ Mr. YeoWe have received a number of representations, some contain complaints but others seek advice or express opinions. The social services inspectorate does not undertake "inquiries" as such. However, on the instructions of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State it has undertaken an inspection of children's homes in Southwark and inspections will be carried out in Lambeth and Islington in the near future.
