§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe implementation of waiting times initiatives is dealt with at official level between the Welsh Office and purchasers of health care.
All waiting times initiative funding for 1992–93 has been allocated to the relevant health authorities and GP fund holders.
Purchasers are aware of the need to complete initiative work by the end of the financial year. A full evaluation of this year's initiative will be undertaken at the end of the financial year.
There is no reason to believe there has been any reduction, or postponement, of treatment as a result of the waiting times initiative.
