Figures for future years on a broadly comparable basis are provided in tables 8 and 23 of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food/Intervention Board departmental report 1993, which has been lodged in the House of Commons Library. Both this publication and "Agriculture in the UK" provide background details concerning trends in expenditure.
