To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give the figures for manufacturing output in the midlands from the latest available date.

According to provisional CSO figures for 1991, GDP for manufacturing industry at factor cost in the midlands was £21.1 billion, representing 20.3 of the United Kingdom total.
