§ Mr. StewartThe number of people employed by Scottish local authorities in September 1992, the latest date for which figures are available, was 305,361.
Quarterly figures for local authority staffing are published jointly by the Scottish Office and the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities arid are available in the Library.
