asked Her Majesty's Government:

What progress has been made to establish the standardisation of wine glasses as announced in the House of Lords with the introduction of the Weights and Measures (Various Foods) (Amendments) Order 1990 (HL Deb., 25th July 1990, column 1536).

The order will require glasses of wine for consumption on the premises to be sold in standard quantities after 31st December 1994.
