§ Mr. HanleyAs at 1 June 1988 there were 3,440 part-time and 2,830 full-time members in the Ulster Defence Regiment; as at 1 June 1993, there were 2,671 part-time and 2,894 full-time members of the home service element of the Royal Irish Regiment.
