§ Mr. NelsonForward: Civil Service Catering is the only part of the Treasury currently employing private security firms. Individual contracts are arranged at local level. During 1992–93, three security firms were employed by Forward at a total cost of £122,000. Details for the current year and for earlier years are not readily available and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
