§ Mr. Lennox-BoydThe preparation and training of United Kingdom personnel participating in United Nations peacekeeping operations is undertaken by the United Kingdom armed forces before each deployment. Over the last 10 years the United Kingdom has contributed personnel to the following peacekeeping operations:
- MINURSO—United Nations Mission for the Referendum in the Western Sahara
- UNFICYP—United Nations Peackeeping Force in Cyprus
- UNIKO—United Nations Iraq/Kuwait Observer Mission
- UNTAC—United Nations Transitional Authority in Cambodia
- UNPROFOR—United Nations Protection Force (in the former Yugoslavia)
- UNTAG—United Nations Transitional Assistance Group (Namibia)
