§ Dr. Lynne JonesTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Indonesian Government on the implementation of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights resolution calling for the United Nations special rapporteur on torture and extrajudicial executions and the United Nations working groups on arbitary detention and on enforced and involuntary disappearances to be allowed to conduct investigations in East Timor.
§ Mr. GoodladWe have urged the Indonesians—most recently during the visit to Indonesia in April by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs—to co-operate with the United Nations in implementing the resolution.
