To ask the President of the Board of Trade when he expects to publish his Department's response to the fourth report of the Agriculture Select Committee of the current Session on the "Effects of the Beer Orders on the Brewing Industry and Consumers", HC 402; and if he will make a statement.

My Department is considering this report carefully and intends to respond to the Agriculture Select Committee within the usual two-month period, that is, by 20 July. It will be for the Committee to decide whether to make that response public.
