To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many members of the armed forces who served in the Gulf war have since been discharged from the services on health grounds; what were the medical grounds for their discharge; and if he will make a statement.

Those members of the armed forces who received a medical discharge as a result of injuries or illness directly attributable to events occurring in the Gulf war are as follows:
