To ask the President of the Board of Trade what progress is being made in submitting projects for funding through EC structural funds.

§ Mr. Sainsbury
Of the structural funds grant totals allocated to the United Kingdom for the current period, from 1989 to 1993 approximately 80 per cent. have been committed to projects. The remaining 20 per cent. are to be committed before the end of the year.
