To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will make a statement on the provision of hospital services in the Dover area.

Mr. Sackville

The South Kent hospital unit is conducting a review of the provision of acute clinical services currently provided at William Harvey hospital, Ashford, and the Buckland hospital, Dover.

Any changes to service provision that are proposed will be subject to full public consultation.
