§ Mr. BurnsTo ask the Secretary of State for Education what changes he has to announce to cash limits on votes within his responsibility for 1993–94.
§ Mr. PattenSubject to parliamentary approval of the necessary revised estimate, the cash limit for vote 1, schools, will be reduced, by £313,000 from £743,210,000 to £742,897,000. The reduction takes account of the appropriation in aid of £321,000 from the Welsh Office as its contribution towards expenditure on certain joint England and Wales programmes. This is partly offset by a transfer of £8,000 from the Chessington Computer Centre for the provision of payroll services in respect of the European Schools on the centre's becoming an agency on 1 April 1993.
