To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what plans he has to allow the members he appoints to(a) health boards, (b) health trusts and (c) other non-departmental public bodies to choose their own chairperson or vice-chairperson; and if he will make a statement.

I have no plans to change the present arrangements.
