§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonInformation on local authority rent arrears accumulated in individual years is not held centrally. The rent arrears outstanding to each local authority at 31 March 1992 is shown in the table. The total rent arrears written off as irrecoverable by local authorities in Scotland during 1992–93 is estimated to have been £6.25 million.
