To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he will carry out a review of the implementation of the Department of Health and Social Service's regional strategy for 1992 to 1997; and if he will make a statement.

Implementation of the regional strategy is kept continuously under review by the health and personal social services management executive on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Services.

The management executive's annual management plan sets a number of interim objectives and targets for boards which are based on those in the regional strategy. The new management executive corporate monitoring information system is being used to track progress in achieving these.
