§ Mr. MacleanThe information requested is published annually in "Criminal statistics, England and Wales", chapter 8. In 1991, 7 per cent. of persons bailed by the police, 7 per cent. of those bailed by magistrates courts and 9 per cent. of those bailed to appear at the Crown court, failed to appear.
