Information on individual grants awarded prior to 1988–89 is not readily available. Since 1988–89 a list of all direct Government grants to the voluntary sector has been placed in the Library of the House. I have therefore arranged for a further copy of the Welsh Office entries for the financial years 1988–89, 1989–90, 1990–91 and 1991–92 to be placed in the Library of the House amended to indicate grants awarded solely in respect of Welsh language activities and those awarded under section 21 of the Education Act 1980. However, many of the other grants paid will also have included an element of support for the Welsh language which is not separately identifiable.
