The South African Government are well aware of our total support for the negotiation process, and of our view that it represents the only possibility of achieving a peaceful transition to democracy. We have frequently expressed our total condemnation of violence, and our conviction that those who use violence in an attempt to derail the negotiation process must not be allowed to succeed.
