§ Mr. CurryThere are a number of measures of farm incomes which are published on a regular basis in "Farm Incomes in the United Kingdom". "Net farm income" is the measure for which there is the longest series. This is a measure which represents the returns to the farmer and spouse for their manual and managerial input and a return on tenant type capital. It is not comparable with the cash income from employment. The following table shows estimates of the average level of net farm income for all farm types derived from survey results. It should be borne in mind that there is considerable variation around these averages.
