asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, in the light of Ministers' repeated statements that they have seen no information concerning the Israeli nuclear programme, and given the importance of Israeli nuclear weapons to all of their policy-formation towards the Middle East, they will now take especial pains to inform themselves.

The promotion of nuclear non-proliferation is an issue of the greatest importance to Her Majesty's Government. We shall continue to do all we can to remain informed of all developments, both in the Middle East and elsewhere, which might in any way begin to undermine this policy.
