§ 16. Mr. ClappisonTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will make a statement on the range of net income over which families are eligible for family credit.
§ Mr. BurtThere is no minimum qualifying level of income for family credit. The upper limit will vary with the number and age of the children. A family with one child under 11 can get family credit if their net weekly income is less than £139 a week. A family with four children aged three, eight 11 and 16 could be eligible with a net income of £209 a week.
