§ Mr. BattleTo ask the Secretary of State for Natonal Heritage if he will make a statement on the plans of the British Library with regard to its buildings and services in Yorkshire.
§ Mr. KeyThe British Library's policy is to provide a service to users from its sites in London and Boston Spa, Yorkshire. The document supply centre will continue to operate from Boston Spa. In addition, during the last two years, the Library has relocated to Yorkshire its acquisition processing and cataloguing, its bibliographic services, computing and telecommunications and a substantial part of its administration.
The British Library Board will continue to review the needs of its users, including long-term requirements.
